You can share any Yara chat as a read-only link. Anyone with the link can scroll the conversation and open the roles, resume, and portfolio Yara made in it, without signing in. This is handy for getting a second opinion from a friend, mentor, or recruiter.
Share a chat
Open the chat you want to share from Chats in the sidebar.
Click Share at the top right of the chat.
Turn on Share this chat. A link appears under the toggle.
Click the copy icon next to the link and send it to whoever you like.
What people see
The link opens a read-only copy of the chat. Visitors cannot send messages or change anything. They can:
Open a role search card to browse the role table.
Open your resume and portfolio cards to see them full size.
Open an application kit to see the role and which resume you used.
Your application answers stay private. In a shared application kit, your name, email, location, and answers are hidden and the pane says Answers are private.
At the bottom of the page visitors see Ask Yara your own question, which lets them create their own Yara account.
Keep the link up to date
A shared link shows the chat as it was when you shared it. If you keep chatting afterwards, the new messages are not added on their own. To publish them:
Click Share again.
Click Update with your newest messages.
The link stays the same, so anyone you already sent it to sees the latest version next time they open it.
Stop sharing
Click Share and turn off Share this chat. The link stops working right away, and anyone who opens it sees a page not found message. If you turn sharing on again later, you get a fresh copy of the chat.
Good to know
Your resume and portfolio are shown as they appear in the chat, including any contact details on them. Remove anything you do not want others to see before you share.
Only people with the link can open it. Shared chats are not listed anywhere.
