Search for roles in chat: filters, role details, and applying

Find roles by asking Yara, narrow them with filters and the table, open role details, like roles, and apply all recommended changes.

Written by Abdullah Atif

Yara finds roles for you right inside chat. Ask in plain words, then narrow the list with filters, open any role for the full breakdown, save the ones you like, and let Yara prepare your application. This guide walks through each step.

1. Ask Yara for roles

Open New chat and describe what you want, for example product designer roles in San Francisco, senior backend engineer jobs in New York, or a company like find me open roles at Figma. You can also tap Find Jobs under the message box.

Start a new chat and ask for roles

Yara shows a Searched roles step while it works, then opens your results on the right with the total count at the bottom.

Asking Yara for product designer roles, then filtering the results by work type

Tip: name the city and the role, for example product designer roles in San Francisco. To see one company's openings, just name the company.

2. Narrow the list with filters

Click Filter at the top of the results. You can filter by Date posted, Salary, Location, Work type, Job Post (where the role is posted, such as Ashby or Greenhouse), Apply (In Network or Apply with Yara) and Experience.

  • Type in Search filters to jump to a filter, for example type work to find Work type.

  • Inside a filter, type to find an option, then tick it. Each option shows how many roles match.

  • The bottom of the panel shows Showing X of Y roles. Click Clear to remove every filter.

3. Sort and switch to the table

Click Sort to order roles by Best match, Newest, Oldest, Highest salary or Lowest salary.

Use the two view buttons next to Sort to switch between the card list and the Table. The table shows fit score, company, role, job post, location, date posted, work type and salary side by side. Tick the box at the start of a row to select it, or the box in the header to select every row. With rows selected you can Like them all at once, or clear the selection with the X.

4. Open a role

Click any role to open its details. You will see three quick reads at the top:

  • Real role shows whether Yara could confirm the posting is live and real.

  • Match scores how well the role fits your profile and preferences.

  • The path suggests what to strengthen before you apply.

Below that are the responsibilities and requirements. Open the Company tab for funding, team size, industry and links. The first time you open a role, short tips walk you through each part. Click Next to step through them or Skip; they only show once.

5. Like a role or open the original posting

Click the heart to save a role for later. Liked roles appear in the Liked column on your Applications page. Click the heart again to remove it.

Click the ... button for more actions:

  • Open job post opens the original listing in a new tab.

  • Flag this role reports a dead, misleading or duplicate listing.

  • Copy markdown copies the role details.

6. Apply all recommended changes

Click the recommendation card at the top of a role (for example Apply now or Apply, with prep). It explains Yara's advice and lists the steps under Do this. Click Apply all changes and Yara works through every step in the chat: it tailors your resume for the role, writes any notes you need, adds the role to your applications and prepares your application kit. When it is done, it tells you what changed and what is left for you to answer. Yara never submits the application for you on outside job sites; you submit it and then press I've applied in the kit.

7. Pick up where you left off in Applications

Open Applications and click the role. Its page shows the status, your application kit, the tailored resume under Materials, and under Chats the conversation where Yara did the work. Click it to go straight back to that chat; nothing runs again.

Good to know

  • Roles marked In Network are with companies Yara works with directly. Their button reads Apply and sends your application through the Yara team.

  • Your results stay in the chat. Reopen the chat from Chats and click the results card to see them again.

  • If a posting looks closed or wrong, use Flag this role so we can remove it.
